Managing Noise Anxiety in Pets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the first tips we tell pet parents when it comes to managing noise anxiety<\/a> is this: set up a safe space for your pet. If you plan to celebrate with friends at your home on the 4th of July, the safest place for an animal with noise anxiety is a cozy crate in a quiet, comfortable room. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you think your pet can handle being in your home or outside with you, it\u2019s still a good idea to create a safe space. You never know how a particular firework sound might affect your dog or cat. Keep your pet on a leash if she\u2019s outside with you. If she shows signs of fear\u2014shaking, licking lips, cowering\u2014take her to her safe room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
